In the News
Today in baseball news, the Reds fired their general manager Wayne Krivstky. You can read the full article here http://cbs.sportsline.com/mlb/story/10795288. It seems like everyone like the guy, so it came as a shock to many, however, he did make some ify trades. Last winter he traded phenom Josh Hamilton to the Texas Rangers. Hiowever, the Reds did get 2 hall of fame caliber pitchers, and they are helping the Reds immensly right now, so it seems oto have paid off. In fantasy baseball news, my team is losing in both my leagues. However, in one of my leagues I am not far behind. I just came off a big 2 game win streak, but some of my top pitchers are injured, so I'm hoping that doesn't hurt me too much. Dice-K has been the a hit so far, and so have Magglio Ordonez and Alex Rodriguez. Luckily one loss will not hurt be terribly, it will only set me back to the middle of the standings. Starting with this post, I will hold a music poll. The quesiton for the poll is "Which album is the best of all time?" Albums will be in ( ) The choices are: (Boston) Boston, (The Wall) ,Pink Floyd, (Eagles greatest hits) ,the Eagles (Led Zeppelin II) Led Zeppelin, ( Sgt. Peppers lonely hearts club band) The Beatles, (Imagine) John Lennon, and (Who's Next) The Who. I am casting my vote for Boston (Boston), just post your votes and every post from now will eliminate the ablum with the least votes.

This one belongs to the Reds
Today the Reds won. It came as a shock to many, especialy me. I was at the game, but left early due to rain, and cold. However it would have been worth it to stay. It was all tied up at 1 going into the 10th inning. Edwin Encarnacion makes an error, as usual, to load up the bases. Then the brewers get a double to score 2 more and make it 3-1. Luckily in an amazing bottom of the tenth, edwin got his second homer of the day. Also homering was catcher Paul Bako, who coinencidently, homered right after Edwin. This tied it up. Pinch hitter Scott Hatteberg got on with a single, and Ryan Freel came in as a pinch runner. After an ify at bat, Brandon Phillips got on with a spectacular infield hit. Then, our heor, Ken Griffey Jr. stepped up to the plate. The first few pitched were fouled or strikes. Then, he managed a hit that went all the way to the wall, this enabled Freel to make it hoem from second, and score the winning run. The Reds needed this victory, it kept them from being swept, and it also kept them out of hte bottom of the divison. I just hope the Reds manage to win again tomorrow and Tuesday against the Dodgers. If they do, that will give them a shot at hte top of the divison, which is the ideal spot to be in. However, with Jor Torre at the helm, the Dodgers will be a hard team to beat. I doubt any harder than the Brewers though. Lets just take it one game at a time, and hope forthe best each time. GO Reds!

Natural Disasters
Apparently, there was an earthquake in my area today. I didn't feel, as did most people, but there were those few who were awake at the time and felt the whole thing. This was the first earhtquakeI have ever expierenced, and for a first, it wasn't much. I always hear about all those earhtquakes that wipe out entire villages and kill lots of people, but my earthquake did injure anyone and only caused a building to lose some parts of its roof. I hear htere has also been tornadoes near my own home, one went down an adjacent street, but it never touched ground, so noone really made a big deal about it. As for quakes and twisters, there haven;t bee ntoo many natrual disasters near me. I guess I am lucky, but I feel unlucky, because if a major disaster does occur, I won't be ready, and might possibly get injured. Do any of you readers have some good storm stories? If so post them for all to view.

Todays Forecast is...
Today, in my area it is sunny and about 65-68 degrees. Its the first nice day we've had in a long while. I don't know about you, but all the cloudy days tend to take a toll on me. The Clouds just seem to put me in a daze, one of which it is hard to come out of. Luckily summer is almost here, and then I'll be able to break my cycle. Another thing that seems to affect my mood alot is music. When I listne to classic rock, I am put in a good mood , I feel relaxed, when I listen to grunge music, I am usually put in a bad mood, I either feel lots of rage, or sometimes sadness, but thats what grunge music is, it is a music for hte moods. For those reading this, whats your favorite music, and how does it affect your mood? Have many of you checked out www.beckett.com? it is a great place to find sports memorabilia, particulary sports cards. It has fair offer prices, and they have comprehensive knowledge of every aspect of memorabilia. However, if your lookingfor a cheap deal, go to www.ebay.com, you can find memoraiblia much cheaper, but the authenticity and quailty is questionable. I recommend you go with whatever fits your price range, and if that happens to be ebay, just make sure you check every aspect of the product your bidding on, you never want to land a deal in which your product is a fake or a forgery. If anyone out there has some ebay stories to tell, please share them.

My "high hopes" for the Reds
As I write this post, Ken Griffey Jr. has just hit homerun #595. It looks like if he continues at this rate, he'll have 600 by late May, or early June. My prediction for the Reds ending place on the standings is 2ndto last, right above Houston. I predict that they will end with a record of 87-77. Thhats jsut above a .500 average, which compared to their previous seasons is a big improvement. I wish they would make it to the post season, but with so many players being left on base, and the runs not being scored I just don't see how it is possible. I do think the Indians havea good chance though. I don't see much wrong with their lineup and they are doing well right now, so if all goes well, they'll be in the post season, and maybe even the world series. By the end of the season, if the Orioles are still leading the AL east, I think they will be the biggest underdogs in baseball history. Everyone predicted they would crumble and fall to bottom to the division, even me, but so far, they are first. I doubt it will last much longer though, by June they'll be near hte bottom and by September, will ultimately be in dead last. Did you hear thestory about a worker burying a Redsox jersey in the cement in tje New Yankee Stadium? It was an attmept to curse the Yanks, and get back at them. Luckily, the worker was discovered and the jersey was dug up, thus preventing a possible curse on the Yankees. You can''t have hte #1 team in baseball be cursed, it would be almost unamerican. This just shows how desperate those Redsox are to win, they have to go out of their way and cheat to win. Thats no way to play baseball, their like Barry Bonds, they cheat to achieve victory. Even if they don't get caught, they will still have a conscience and know that what they did was wrong and should feel their "victory" was a hollow victory. Well thats all from the world of Baseball for now, tune in later for more exciting events from the MLB.

My Intro Blog
I am writing this as I listen to Take it Easy by The Eagles. I get my inspriation from the creator of Dilbert, Scott Adams. He has a blog of his own, here's a link to it: http://dilbertblog.typepad.com/. He has a book out "Stick to drawing comics Monkey Brain", it is a collection of past blog entries, it is defenately worth a read, it is hilarious. On the topic of comics, another really funny comic to read is "Pearls before Swine", here's a link to its site: http://www.comics.com/comics/pearls/index.html. On the television, some shows I like to watch are Mythbusters, The Universe, Big Bang Theory, Monk, and Psych and Last One Standing. Big Bang Theory is a sitcom, it is about nerds, and their social ineptitude. Every episode is very funny, and will have you craving more of the show. I'm not too big on game shows or reality shows, but some good ones are Merv Griffen's Crosswords, Who wants to be a Millionare, Jeopardy, and Survivor. As for hobbies, I enjoy collecting sports memorabilia, autographs, and star gazing. My favorite sports teams both college and professional are Pittsburgh Panthers (any sport), Cincinnati Reds, New York Yankees, Cinici Bengals, Miami Dolphins, Dayton Dragons (minor league), and Texas Rangers (only because they have Josh Hamilton). The music on my itunes consists of Classic Rock (90%), Soundtrack (5%), 90's alternative (grunge) (3%) holiday/other (2%). Upcoming movies I want to see: Indiana Jones IV. Until they came out, I wanted to see Rocky 6, and Rambo IV, now I have them on DVD, except Rambo IV isn't out yet, but I will have it when it does come out. On one last note,if your looking for good online radio, go to www.pandora.com, this site allows you to customize your radio. You pick any artist, and then you listen to a station that plays artists similar to that artist, and sometimes, it will play a song by your selected artist. For example, if I pick artist Boston, my Boston radio station would play music similar to Boston, such as Kansas, Led Zeppelin, and other classic rock artists. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, just post them.
